LING RU-TING

Born in 1997, Taoyuan, Taiwan.
Lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan.
Lin’s creations are mainly paintings. Including works on paper, the "Link" series of hand-painted sewing books, and the "Roll" series of oil paintings. Use oil paint to work thin layers of wet and dry stacks onto the canvas. The development from broken brush strokes to continuous brush strokes brings a sense of flow. The dynamic experience of body movement during painting is expressed through the trajectory of the brush. The lines overlap each other, allowing the mass to shape itself, rather than just outline the outline . The centered masses and non-sharp edges in the painting reflect their own presence.

Lin’s creation focuses on the changing state of the development process of the work. The slow pace brought about by the creative time. The sense of time is different from the rapid changes in this era. Put the stimulation you feel physically and mentally during a certain period of time into the picture. Try to find a balance between the two in the painting. A cycle of "build, destroy, build again" is created.
